Join us on this adventurous glacier hike on Sólheimajökull glacier. Sólheimajökull is an outlet of the Mýrdalsjökull ice cap, which covers one of the country’s most active volcanoes, Katla. The glacier sits beside a more famous peak, Eyjafjallajökull, which erupted in 2010.
Once you arrive to the glacier, your friendly guide will gear you up in your crampons and helmets, brief you on the safety, and then lead you onto its otherworldly surface. Your time here will no doubt be mesmerizing, as you marvel over crevasses, ridges, snowscapes and the views of the South.
