What to bring:
This golden circle and snowmobile tour takes you to all of the attractions of the famous Golden Circle as well as to Langjökull glacier where you will join us for a snowmobile ride. This is a perfect tour for those who would like to add some glacier action to their sightseeing.
Your full day tour starts with pick up from your Reykjavik accommodation at 08:00 am.
From Reykjavik we will then drive off to the famous Golden Circle. This tour allows visitors to get in touch with some of Iceland’s most famous and exciting natural phenomena. Your first stop for the day will be at Þingvellir National Park, 40 min east of the city. Þingvellir is one of Iceland’s most historic sites as it was here that Iceland’s first parliament, Althingi was founded in the year 930 AD. From Þingvellir you will then head to the world-renowned geothermal area around Geysir hot spring where you can witness gurgling bubbling water burst up to 25 meters high. From Geysir you will continue on to Gullfoss, “the Golden waterfall”. Gullfoss is a great sight and a perfect photo spot with water rushing down three steps of lava layers exhibiting breathtaking power and grandeur.
There is no lunch included in this tour, but we will make a stop at Gullfoss Café where it is possible to purchase some lunch before heading to Langjökull glacier.
Next up, you kick the action into a higher gear and go for a 1 hour snowmobiling ride on Langjökull, Iceland’s second largest glacier before heading back to Reykjavik.
This tour offers the adventure of a lifetime in just one tour. Sign up today and do something you have never experienced before!
The price of the tour is based on two people sharing one snowmobile. If you are a solo traveler or prefer to have your own snowmobile then you can of course upgrade to a solo snowmobile for additional 6000 ISK per person.
